Dr. John Foo

BHSci MBBS FRACGP

Dr Ren Kang (John) Foo obtained his Fellowship with Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) in 2022. His areas of special interests are Paediatric Medicine, Cardiovascular Health, Respiratory Medicine, Travel Medicine, Older People’s Health and Chronic Disease management.

Dr John grew up in Brunei Darussalam where he obtained his Bachelor of Health Science in 2009 and later completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) at Monash University Australia in 2012. He then worked at Peninsula Health, gaining experience in various areas of specialty medicine including Cardiology, Respiratory, Renal medicine, Infectious disease and Older People’s health. During this time he worked across multiple sites in the Mornington Peninsula including Frankston Hospital, Rosebud hospital and the Mornington Centre and has also been seconded to the Alfred Hospital and Shepparton Hospital.

In 2019 he decided to pursue General Practice and underwent further training in the community. He has enjoyed General Practice serving regional areas, working in clinics in Gippsland, Victoria.

Outside of medicine, Dr John is married with a young child and enjoys spending time with his young family. He is a self-described foodie, a passionate tennis player and loves to golf when time permits. He is enthusiastic about leading a healthy lifestyle, regularly hitting the gym and running (if his toddler lets him get out the front door).
