Staff Profiles

Dr Daniel Phan grew up in Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs and graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2017. Before entering general practice, he worked for five years across St Vincent’s Health, Western Health and Monash Health, gaining experience in paediatrics, emergency medicine, women’s health, mental health and addiction medicine.

Daniel is passionate about preventative care, lifestyle medicine and medical education. He has completed additional study in public health and enjoys supervising medical students alongside his clinical work. He takes a warm, thorough and patient-centred approach to care, with a focus on listening carefully, understanding the bigger picture, and working collaboratively with patients on their healthcare decisions. He enjoys supporting patients and families over time and building trusted long-term relationships.

His clinical interests include preventative health, weight management, early disease detection, developmental paediatrics, mental health, chronic disease management and aged care.

Outside of work, Daniel loves travelling, especially when it involves another trip to Japan, has a longstanding obsession with watches, and spends a questionable amount of time playing golf for someone who is happy to admit he is not very good at it. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and two small fluffy dogs, Mila and Kai.
